          Allen was born on April 28, 1991 in The Bronx, New York to parents Otis and Angela LaNaé Allen.[3][4] Allen began a modeling career at the tender age of 4 before transitioning to movie and television roles.[5]

          She got her first role in mainstream media as the sidetable drawer in the children's animated TV show, Blue's Clues as a recurring character from 1996 until the show's cancellation in 2004.

          Allen had minor roles between 1996 and 2003 briefly appearing in The Best Man credited as "flower girl" and four episodes of Out of the Box in 1999
