Loredano Rosin Biography
Born in Venice on 10 January 1936, Rosin began his human and professional adventure within the world of Murano glass in 1948 when his family moved from the historic center of Venice to the nearby island where his father Giovanni, “Nane Naso ”, was employed as a blower in the processing of chemical products at the Franchetti furnace.
Thirteen-year-old, Loredano immediately found employment in the Domus glassworks, then specialized in the creation of traditional Venetian chandeliers, employed by the master "Cocui Saor" (born Romano Zanetti), and subsequently dedicated himself to the creation of clown sculptures employed by Giovannin Rossetto known as " Bronze".
After a long internship, thanks to which Rosin was able to learn the techniques and secrets of the glass art, in 1961 his career in the furnace made sudden progress and in that very year he began working
